It is a full kit with 15” wheels so I am buying the drive train. I got the IRS option and just received a 2016 Mustang IRS. It has 13” rotors with another 1.5” of caliper stuff beyond that. Clearly all of that will not fit inside a 15” wheel. I like the 15” for its originality. What options would work? Go to 17” or go with smaller rotors and the Wilwood capliers? or something else? thanks. I still have time to adjust my order.

Honestly I'd just go to the smaller brake setup (if available for the IRS?) if you like the Trigos or halibrand 15". If you wanted to go off script and do larger wheels you've got a ton of options but none of them looking like the Trigos with spinners. Also don't forget to get the narrow setup for pin drive if you're going that way. I honestly fell in love with the idea and ease of knocking the spinner off with a hammer like a 1960s pit-man in seconds and not having 5 lugnuts to loosen each time. Pretty sweet.

Thank you for the quick response. I personally am not a fan of spin offs given a choice based on Healy and XKE experience. Beautiful but a PITA. I suppose having such big brakes on the back and smaller on the front would lead to issues during hard braking. I will trash perfectly good rotors and calipers from something that fits the bigger picture. Thanks again. Richard.

Gordon Levy has a IRS brake kit available that is an upgrade over the 11.65" kit from Factory Five for 15" wheels.
I have installed the Factory Five brakes and what I found interesting is that the rear rotors end up being larger than the fronts.

I wanted to go for the vintage look as well.

Noticing your aluminum work. You've grained it -- what was your approach?
Also, is it coated? I'm going to use Sharkhide (and their very caustic cleaner).
I did the IRS spindle castings last night -- I like the look of the casting cleaned up.

I got the method from someone else on the forum.
320 grit paper to create the graining followed by Scotchbrite. Then cleaned with brake cleaner and finally coated with Sharkhide.
