Need some help on paint repair

Recently my trailer was run into while parked, with the Roadster inside. It suffered numerous chips and scratches. I'm having trouble getting a shop to write an estimate for the claim. I believe it needs a total repaint as the paint is a Tri-coat on a silver base. Can anyone offer advice on how to proceed? I know the insurance can send an adjuster but who knows how that would work out. I really think I need a good estimate up front.

Sorry to hear about your car!
Im really surprised the body shop wpuldnt give you an estimate seeing thats what they do for a living! I would call around to a few different ones in your area and send them some pictures of the damage just to see if they are willing to quote you before bringing the car to them. If not I would bet guys on this forum will steer you in the right direction and who they use around your area.

Get your estimate from the person that painted it the first time. I had a good experience with the insurance adjuster that came an looked at my damaged car. Had me get two estimates, they picked the highest one and sent me a check.
