Hello builders, probably a typical issue: my brake pedal comes to a rest on the cross member in the foot box. I would like to resolve this before I bleed my brakes. What is the preferred method to adjust this? I’m running standard Wilwood master cylinders and brakes per FF.

Thank you!

You are correct - you need to correct this to allow your master cylinder to get full stroke. The instructions say to cut off 5/8 of the threaded rod on the master cylinder. Adjusting the pedal position can be done after you bleed the brakes but basically just loosen the jam nuts and turn the threaded rod. This will adjust the pedal position. I'd leave about 1/8" clearance to the frame cross brace when the pedal is all the way out.

Ok!

I did cut the rods per the manual so they are basically flush where they thread into the mounts. So just turn them until the pedal has clearance? Thanks for the quick reply.

Yep - don't forget to retighten the jam nut afterwards to lock it down.
