Ladies & Gentlemen,
Here are a couple of cool videos that I think you all will enjoy.
One is a Real Deal SC and the other is an Amazing Custom Carbon Cobra.
The 1st video is from Peter Klutt from Legendary Motor Cars that was recently posted.

The 2nd video is a Custom Carbon Cobra from Classic Recreations.

I really hope Dave and his team will do something special for their 30th Anniversary which is coming up soon.
I'd love to see the Spyder return and some sort of Open House/Family Reunion Event held at Factory-5 next year.

Great set of videos, Steve. I think Nigel posted the first on a day earlier, however, that carbon fiber cobra - WOW! Not that I wouldn’t take the prior original one over the carbon, but very cool. I think I was awe struck by the wheels! Just as F5’s 25th anniversary wheels had me in a jaw drop, those wheels are very radical looking. I’m actually looking forward to F5’s 30th anniversary release and hoping once again they put out a spectacular package for builders to get. Thanks for sharing!

IMO carbon fiber looks better as an accent, like diamond stitching.

My wife and I hope to make the pilgrimage in 2025 assuming that they do an open house.
I really hope they build the Spyder once again; however, I know it is a very long shot.
As you know I'm crazy about that car but it just didn't sell well when it was in production so it wouldn't make sense to do it again.

Wouldn't it be Super Cool if Dave and his gang were building a car that resembled the The 1964 Ferrari 250 GTO for their 30th anniversary?
I'm not saying to copy the Ferrari exactly but maybe a car that resembled both the Shelby Series-1 with the hard top lines of the Ferrari.
By the way, the Ferrari GTO 250 had a wheelbase 94.5 inches so it is only a half inch shorter that the Type-65 Coupe.
That would be the easy to do because a rebodied Type-65 has an almost identical wheelbase at 95.0 inches.
Anyway I hope one day that they bring back the Daytona Spyder so I can build one some day.

G'day Steve,
I might have this wrong, but my understanding is that Ferrari will sue anyone making a replica of their cars and destroy the vehicle/s. Even down to a one-off build in someone's garage.
I'd like to think I am wrong.

I think you are right about the folks at Ferrari.
I also still think the Type-65 Spyder was Dave's best looking car.

Ferrari lost the rights to the 250 GTO shape. They only retain the trademark on the shape for toys and models.

Carbon Fiber is stunning. $1.2 million? Not so much.

That looks super cool. Stretched wheelbase?

No, just the camera angle. That car has really trick suspension, all independent with inboard coilovers and pushrod actuation. I've got some pictures of it somewhere.
