Inner drive footbox wall tight with pedal?

I'm setting my inner driver footbox aluminum and feel it sits too close to the driver pedal. Has any one encountered this? Do I need to bend the pedal to the left some? I know I need to adjust the Wilwood pedal pads to the left to give myself some more room.

I would bend the lower leg slightly for carpet clearance.

Or bump out the aluminum. This is reaching back in my memory further than may be accurate but I think that panel was moved in some so Coyote engines would fit.
