I have these covers for my Coyote Aluminator engine.
I think I want to paint them, probably the same as body color, Guardsman Blue.
Would I need to add some thing to the paint to allow it to stretch with the expansion and shrinking of the material.
The material feels like foam rubber.
I am not a painter, but have some paint left over from my body paint job.
Thanks,

The covers are on Bear Advisory's post.
I'm not savy enough to attach to the post.

I'm thinking the flex additive that they used on flexi panels on the cars in 70's through the late 90's

I've done the engine covers to match on a few cars that I've painted.

Clean them up good with wax & grease remover then give them a final wash with isopropyl alcohol followed by a couple coats of Bulldog adhesion promoter or similar. After that paint with base and clear as usual.

here's my engine cover, albeit the Gen3 cover

Ken Pike did a great job taking my sketch and color ideas and spraying them out - had to trim the sides off as everyone does since the cover is so wide, but I think it turned out great!
