How about you move Roadster back the top of the forum list. You know the car that is responsible for your existence? Seems to me the F9, and the whatever truck, are less important and certainly have much less of a following. ROADSTER to the top!!!!!!!!!

While we are at it, I think we need a new sub forum for the original "289 Roadster" (not FIA) that FFR needs to produce so that the "Trifecta" of Cobra replicas can be brought to light.

"Da Bunnies"(tm) are starting to consider another campaign........

Something similar to the original for the production of the 289 FIA: Write in, followed by the usual bumper stickers or window stickers, Dave Smiths office being invaded by agents of "Da Bunnies"(tm), maybe even another banner plane (this one called off due to bad weather). I could even see some billboard action for this one.....Dave, Dave, Dave, can you hear me Dave........You know I can, and will do it.....As you ultimately found out with the original 289 FIA you now produce, resistance is futile......

Given the less than strong sales of the FIA car (lots of people said they wanted one...until they could ;)) I would advise that you and your rabbits should not be holding your breath waiting for a model that has even lower demand.

Historical observation:
As of December 2015, Superformance had produced around 4,000 of its MKII Slab Side Cobra tribute cars.
Rob Walker writes that 125 CSX 2000 Cobras were built through 2022.
Aurora Cars Limited of Ontario, Canada built an estimated 150–177 Aurora slab side Cobras, in the 1980s.
(I like this more simple and diminutive version)

Jeff,

I seem to remember a similar response when I first mentioned the FIA that FFR themselves had listed on one of their old web pages as "coming soon". It only took another 14 years for this to come to fruition. You don't know until you ask, and while my way may not be to your liking, it is still my time and energy and not yours moving forwards with this potentially worthy project. Only Dave Smith, and "Da Bunnies" will know for sure.

Here is wishing you well.

You missed Kirkham, which has built several hundred "289 roadster" bodies, both in standard and hybrid chassis style.

Bill, and as you also know several other kit car companies also offered slab side Cobras. Some of those companies have passed, for a variety of reasons, but this configuration is not likely one of them.
Tangent experience: I found a slab side replica on WI Craigslist a month or so ago. The post was a week old and eventually timed-out at 30 days. I started with a polite CL email. A day later a polite text. A day later a phone call to get a young lady's VM. All my efforts were unanswered. She was divesting her father's rural estate, the car was an inconvenience and she knew nothing about it. I suspect someone scored a terrific purchase.

Craig, Yours is an interesting observation that I never considered. My default Forum review is "Home". Every couple of days, I log-in and hit "Latest Posts". FFR model priority segregation never occurred to me.
My post selection priorities are topic and poster/commentor. I like complex problems and skilled posters. There is often something to be learned and occasionally posters to avoid.
BTW there has been a scarcity of Pre-Runner posts and no link (I think) although I really do not care. I am curious how those sales are going.

+1. I only ever use the "Latest Posts" link at the top, so the sort order of categories on the main forum page is pretty much irrelevant to me.
