So I’ve been driving my roadster for 3 years. That means that the carpeting I’ve had for 7 years wants to be installed. I can’t find any directions for the 20 or so pieces I find in front of me. I called FFR and they said that there aren’t any, just try the pieces in various places. They parenthetically added that the GTM has over 100 pieces. Any help out there?

Seems like this FFR drawing might be helpful.

I did pretty much what FF told you to do. Ended up with a few pieces that didn't seem to have a home. The 3M spray adhesive doesn't give you much chance to move things around if not lined up right on the initial try. It will also pull the nap of the carpet through the backing if you put it in place and then try to lift it off.

I didn't do carpet. I got some black diamond plate sheet rubber and put it down with double sided carpet tape. It's non-slip and looks pretty cool. I had enough left over to do the dead pedals. The sidewalls and console are painted with black epoxy primer. It all looks pretty utility/basic and I like it. It's a go-car not a show car.

Later on, I built a sheetmetal trunk and covered that in the same diamond plate rubber.
