I am in the planning stages of my build, and fell in love with a Cobra paint job I saw. It was a build from BDR, but the paint is exactly what I had envisioned for my build. Is there any way to find out the paint colors based on a photo or VIN? I can post pics if that would be beneficial. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here are a couple pics. The paint looks like might be Grigio Telesto (its a popular BDR color), but Im having issues deciphering the stripe color.

Have you tried looking through Backdraft's website? They have tons of photos and usually list the paint colors for the base and stripes. I've found it to be the best reference for finding specific colors and different base/stripe combinations.

That stripe looks a lot like Ford Carbonized Gray or Magnetic Gray metallic (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9FsQYni9qk) to me but there are so many metallic grays it's hard to tell for sure.

I did check BDRs site, which is where I got the assumption that the car was painted Grigio Telesto. However, there arent any that I have been able to find where the stripe is not black or some other solid color.

If you have the VIN, I'd give them a call and see if they're willing to share any info.

I based my colors on that exact build.

My main color is Mercedes Mountain Grey (787) with Subaru Dark Gray (61K) stripes. I had them, as well as the orange accent stripes, all modified a bit so the fleck and flop were consistent and they all looked like they belonged on the same car.

I sent email to backdraft with a picture of the car color I was inquiring about and they sent me the paint codes. info@backdraftracing.com

Might try this website.

https://vintage-motorsports.com/configure/

I spent a lot of time there configuring a car (in addition to FFR), before settling on building my own. Can pick the primary color and stripe color. Might be able to reverse engineer it from there.
