Hi, I need to get a lower and further back seating position as I have ample dimensions! So I am considering the larger Kirkeys which should allow more room for a bit of padding as opposed to wedging myself into a hard seat as I plan on some longer drives. I have seen Dave A's 18" in a Mk3 which fit and provide much more leg room but required a small cutout for a frame member....Thanks Dave! The current offering is 1/2" wider which should fit at the base and the top but I am curious if it still gets full extension aft to maximize legroom. Any insight appreciated.

I did one recently in a customer's car. I was able to put the seat all the way back but at a slight angle the only interference was with the left side seatbelt mount. I put the seat hard against it then transferred the hole location to the seat. Then bolted the belt through the seat and seat belt mount. It will be pretty obvious what needs to be done.

Thanks Mike, was it a fixed seat or sliders? If sliders were used do you think I could cut a slot for 3-4" of travel or is the belt bolt too close to the rear of the seat to allow travel?

No room for a slider. It was tight against the tunnel at the front
