Who's come up with a way to attach the door panels without screw heads showing?

I didn't use the FFR panels, I built my own using Hagan's panels, clips, etc.... They have some useful videos too.

There's no reason that with a bit of work you couldn't use their clips on the FFR panels I imagine.

You might consider plastic panel push-rivets. Lots of head sizes and surface texture but black and a few whites are all I find.

Looks to me that they made an inner panel with the clips then glued that panel to the outer panel.. gives me some ideas. Thank you

I put rivnuts into the door in 4 places and then used button head screws to attach the panels. I've uses button head all over, so it fit right in. Has worked just fine and is subtle as well.

I ended up cutting my own out of PVC foam board and attaching with screws for now. Not sure which way i'll go once I get them covered.

I used #6 rivnuts with black oxide finished stainless button head screws and black oxide finish washers.

What a lot of people making suggestions probably don't realize is the door cards provided for the truck are heavy. They have a sheet aluminum core and are quite large. Plus a nice pouch to put stuff in. That is if they are the same as the ones I received. Something substantial is required. I've always used hidden fasteners on my builds. But resorted to black oxide interior trim screws on my truck build. They blend in OK and not a big deal.

This thread is in relation to the 33 Hot Rod but the door panels are also backed by thick aluminum sheet. The 33 inner door is not flat which requires the door panels to be formed to fit which is no small task. IMHO, screws and rivnuts are the most secure way of holding them on and taking up the last little bit gap between the door and door panels.
The other alternative is to make all new door panels that have a more playable backing.

Oops, Missed this was for the Hot Rod vs. the Truck. Good to confirm the Hot Rod door cards are similar to the Truck, so my advice wasn't completely ill-advised.
