Is there anything that holds the trim ring on the turn signal aside from being pressed on? It seems like this could pop off from a bump. Also, it seems my turn signals sit a bit proud and I can see not just the rubber grommet between the back of the light and the body, but some of the metal from the base of the light. Do I just press the trim ring on harder?

I’ve never heard of any complaints about folks loosing light parts. Doesn’t mean it’s never happened but it’s not a normal occurrence. As for the space between trim and body a large oring fits in and makes it look more finished. Unfortunately I don’t remember the size. You might do a search here or on the other forum or maybe someone with a better memory will chime in.

Yes, the FFR-supplied lights aren't a great fit. I posted about it here (https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?42485-Front-signal-markers-Generic-vs-real-Lucas-L539&p=488340#post488340) and ultimately replaced mine with a different set from Rogers Motors.

Jeff Kleiner suggested a good solution to use a large O ring to make it pretty.
A small amount of silicone adhesive between the lens and trim ring will prevent the trim ring from falling off.
