I'm running XRP Pro Plus PTFE fuel hoses front to back along the outside of the 4" tube. There are two cover types, one is the stainless-steel braid and the other is an XM Monofilament braid (black nylon type braid) over the PTFE hose. I like the XM monofilament for the black color and flexibility. Anyone see any issues with running that over the SS braid from a 'road durability' perspective?

Logic says stainless braid would be the most durable for resisting rocks and debris hits. I personally went stainless for this reason (I am using Fragola). You might want to contact XRP and see what they recommend for external frame mounting.

Agreed. The PTFE tubing on this hose is ribbed, giving it more durability versus smooth. How much durability do we realistically need along the frame rail is the question. Even bare PTFE would probably need to take a pretty good thrashing to rupture. I’ll give them a shout tomorrow and see what they say.
