Has anyone found a glove box door latch that does not reqire a key just to open and close the door. I'd just as soon not leave the key in the glove box door latch all the time just to keep the darn thing closed. If I want to close the door I have to lock it. Not user freindly. Someone must have found a latch that can be opened without a key while driving. Yet be able to lock it when leaving the car. Anyone????

I used a latch from a 69 vw bug , can be locked or unlocked and still latches.

^^ That’s the way to go. I took a different path, with a simple kitchen pull along with neo magnet mounted in a bracket behind the door. So just pull the handle to open. Looks nice but a bit of work.

I used a VW latch with the carbon fiber dash - https://www.jbugs.com/product/111857131L.html?utm_source=netsuite&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=deliveryconfirmation&utm_content=delivered-item-product-link

I did need to make a new catch, but that was very easy to do using a small piece of right angle aluminum. Much better than having to use the key all the time.
