Has anyone posted a video of the best way to get in and out of your Cobra? I’m an old guy and don’t want to appear like this:

I have Ankylosing spondylitis and am in need of a hip replacement and I can do a lot better than that. Go in head first, roll your body so you can pull your right leg under the steering wheel, continue to the roll to sit down then pull your left leg in. To get out is the reverse process. Next time I have the top on I’ll have my wife video me getting in and out. You can all have a good laugh at my expense.

PS. As I often tell my kids, “Getting old sucks but not getting old really sucks”

No roof so no issues for this 82 year old guy. Step in with my right leg, sit & pull the rest in. Step out with my left leg then back out with right hand on the seat back.

Is that a serious question? Step in both feet, slide down into the seat, exit is just the reverse. Good grief

Pretty easy with no top, but I don't think i would look much different from that old guy getting out of that gray car except I would be looking for something to pull myself up with. They say that getting old is the Golden Years..... more like the Rust Years...
Or you could cheat like some of us and install a removable steering wheel. The NRG unit is only 3/4" deep I believe. Makes getting in and out simple!

My doors don't open... So, 1 big step over and in. Getting out, stand up and over the door! Easy peasy.
After getting in and out of several Cobras with working doors, I've come to the conclusion that not using the door is far easier. Down side is you can't care about scratches on the top of the door or standing on the seats. It also precludes having a top.

I use my anti-gravity belt (patent pending). Strap it on, turn it on (full power) then just float in and out. :p

Like rich said step in and slide down and by no means touch the windshield for balance use something else in the car.

The OPs post was a video of a guy trying to get out of a roadster with a soft top installed. Most of us were responding to that. Getting in and out of the car without the top on is easy, even for someone with the physical limitations I have. That wasn’t the original question!

There is an old video of Carrol Shelby getting into an AC Cobra for advertising. He was like a snake getting into that car.
Maybe someone can find the video. I recall watching it numerous times, as entering and exiting the roadster is an art, if done right.

My plan all along was to have a soft top. Once I got it built, I figured out that I'd have to call the fire department to get me out of it with a soft top on - assuming I ever managed to get into the car to begin with.
I stand on the upper deck, rear on the top of the club seat, and slide down into the car. Opposite getting out.

That's funny!
