My FMS head gaskets aren't perfectly round at the bores. All 8 cylinders are like this. I've built several 302's over the years, and never seen this. Normal?

I think I figured it out. These gaskets have the small kick out at 2 o'clock and 8 o'clock for bore flange valve reliefs for oversized valves.

The 351 Cleveland 4v blocks did have valve reliefs milled in the top of the bores.
Never noticed the reliefs on Windsors.

My block clearly doesn't have them, but this is the gasket Ford says should be used on the 427 Boss block. Their documenation states the reliefs in the gasket are there if you need them. Dunno!
