427 Holley Sniper and 3" filter fit under hood.

Just thought I would share this as it has been an issue with some. I have just enough clearance with the hood closed and latched. It's a 427w with Holley Sniper and a 14x3 filter that has a dropped base. The engine mounts are the kit supplied ones , not solid mounts. Real happy that is fits.

I looked at the Smeding site. Their 427W looks like a solid build and good value. Good selection.
What manifold are you using? I have a similar drop base 14x3 air cleaner, these work well.
I've fit my 427W with a Vic Jr. and tested with a spacer to get to Super Victor height (+.5"). All seems to fit but I also have lower engine mounts.
I hope the new 427 provides all you are looking for.

It is the Vic jr. Yes their engines are really good. The torque band is almost as flat as a pancake!
