Seats again - Would like to get rid of my low backs. I have a 38 inch waste & need a seat with the 5th slot for the harness. Not looking to modify seat or car.
Does the Corbeau FORZA fit without mods to car of seat. Not locked into any seat just want one I can install with out mods to seat or finished car. So if there is a better choice for fit please let me know.

Kevin - I've got a brand new pair with head rests that I'm selling for Intatrim. They sent me the wrong ones. Red diamond stitched might match your accent color. If interested, see my post on the for-sale forum.

If he is not interested I may be. I need to be as close to the back wall as possible. Do these fit the bill?

I haven’t installed them before but Intatrim says this model is plug and play with Roadsters. They have pics on their website of quite a few different setups in a Cobra. The seats come with their own tracks. I’m sure Rob at Intatrim can answer other questions if you have anything specific. H

Intatrim Stoneleigh high backs fit without modifying the body. Several folks have used them. I have them too, but haven't fully installed them yet. They can add the grommet opening for the 5th leg of the harness. I think I paid around $1800 for mine including shipping from the UK. They are customized w/ saddle leather, diamond stich, Cobra logo, and 5th leg harness opening. They can make whatever you envision.

Thanks for the input, they are real beauty's. Would go for them if I was just replacing my FFR seats. I need high back seats with slots for a 5 belt system

Looking forward to seeing before and after photos. Also how different the high back feel in the car. Thanks for sharing!

Track for one seat should be in Sunday or Monday & will install that seat on the drivers side. Did a dry run with the seat on the floor perfect fit. 5'9", 195lbs, 36/37" waist. Even a little wiggle room at the hips.
Only addition will be a lumbar support. Will have to look around for one that is comfortable.

Curious as to where you got the seats? I am looking at changing out the original FFR seats in my MK1.

Price $449 seems pretty much fixed in most places. Got mine through Summit Racing who I have done business with (Coyote-TKO) etc before. Might be some discounts around so I would do a search if you are looking. Seat mounting hardware is priced well at Amazon.

Thanks and they look amazing! Did you use Adjustable Universal Seat Rails? What Sound system did you install? I have an MK1 that is in need of a refresh, so I am planning a lot of updates....

Regarding replacement seats for the Cobra. I currently have low-back retro style and while they're not bad I would appreciate higher backs BUT.....
....(and this is ONLY personal taste) I don't like the look of tall seats protruding up into the sky. They're more comfortable, much safer, but they ruin the classic lines of the car (AGAIN, my opinion only). Is there a taller but not too tall option?

I used a belt & suspender install. The seats can be mounted a few ways. Bottom & side. There are receivers for bolts in both places. Bolts come with the seat. I used side mounts to universal sliders then sliders to the floor. The side mounts let you adjust height & tilt. You can also just use the side mounts to bolt solidly (no movement) to the floor. Got the mounts from Amazon. If you get sliders try to get the narrow ones. Difference narrow/wide is the handle that releases the seat to move. Regardless its bendable to fit.
Found these to have holes that line up with seat & sliders so no mods required.

Receiver is a Pioneer NEX AVH unit with CarPlay. Forgot the model number but think its about a 4500 Speakers are 6" fitted to each side of the console & 5" under the doors. Works well, does phone, music, navigation, WAZE, Bluetooth to my hearing aids, satellite, etc. Was in my FORD Expedition that got killed in a tidal surge during a hurricane.
Just found this, but its an older one the unit was replaced with the one from the FORD last year.

FWIW found under normal conditions sound is good to around 60/65MPH then wind noise rather than exhaust noise kills it. The Coyotes are very loud under acceleration but pretty quiet under cruise due to the valves changing opening & closing under the ECU control.
Hearing aid Bluetooth has no sound limitations.

Resisted high back seats for a long time. The 503BHP M4C changed my mind. Acceleration from a stop is much nicer with something to put your head against. What is too tall is in the eye of the beholder. The pictures should give you some reference between the F5R seat/roll bar/new seat.

Reason you needed high backs? You may want to reconsider the shoulder harness anchor points. Not recommended to have the shoulder belts touching or rubbing the belt opening in the seat and the angle down looks much more than 20 degrees from horizontal. Either the seat breaks or your spine will be compressed from even a 30 mph accident. Have seen many relocate to the roll bar to correct the angle issue recommended by most if not all harness manufacturers.

Pretty sure I mentioned it was the only thing I did not like about the seats. Expect I will fix it but thanks for the reminder.
FWIW I do not think any cars with stock seats have the proper belt to shoulder alignment.

I agree...many don't.
