I have gen 3 Coyote that keeps blowing a fuse in the fitech Coyote fuse block. The fuse that keeps blowing is the 15 AMP #4. All the lights and gauges work and it the engine turns over but will not start. When You turn the key it blows the fuse. I did replace some of the switch such as lights hazards etc… car ran before I changed the switches. any ideas?

"fitech Coyote"? Not sure what that means or what 4 in this case refers to... But a reasonable approach, since it ran before, would be to go back through the switches you added. Likely a direct short from power to ground somewhere that's causing the fuse to blow.

Thanks. Have been trying that with no luck as of yet. It’s the fuse panel that sits next to the computer on the passenger side. Number 4 is the fuse from the chart for that panel. I was hoping someone might have ran across this. We will continue to search for a short.

To get better help, a better understanding of what the Fitech Coyote fuse block is about. If you switched out the intake for a more traditional carbureted style and paired that with the Fitech FI system, I get that. That said, a standard troubleshooting technique is to go back to the last change made when something stops working. As you pointed out, you changed some switches for lights and hazards. I agree with Paul, this is where you should start. If that wiring is not needed to start the engine, disconnect it. If the engine then starts normally. Add back the revised wiring a little bit at a time until you again get blown fuses. At that point you have isolated the offending connection.
Good luck

Hi Alan, A mechanic is helping me trouble shoot. When I asked if there was specific name for the fuse panel that comes with coyote, sits next to the computer on the passenger side, that is what he called it. Sorry for confusing everyone. This is a standard Coyote Gen 3, Ron Francis wiring harness with nothing else added. We are chasing things in reverse and trying to figure it out. Appreciate the advice as well as Paul's.

VPWR: Battery voltage signal only, not intended to carry high current load.
have you reached out to Ford Performance?
