The Dorman product code for the FFR provided 1/2-20 wheel studs is 610-519. It has a .629 Knurl and is 2.22" in length. I think the most recommended stud on the forum is Dorman 610-290, which has a .619 knurl and is 2.187" in length.
I can order either one of these. Any suggested preferences or is it splitting hairs?

A .010" difference in the knurl makes a huge difference when installing them so get the right one. I hope others will chime in here.

I can't say with confidence which one is "right", but I can say that the FFR supplied ones were a PITA to switch out. Much harder than any stud I've replaced in the past. They were SO TIGHT that getting the new ones in was very hard. MAYBE getting the ones that are .010" smaller would be better.

Funny you say that as the machine shop that pressed mine in had a terrible time getting them to seat where he slightly damaged the face of the hub and two studs ended up sitting proud just slightly which prevented the wheel from being installed. The ones that are seated are touching the hub gasket and probably needed to be ground down a bit on that side, where the 610-290 version easily clears as the head is not as large.

I used Dorman 610-290 to replace some kit supplied studs that I cut too short. (Oops) They installed fine with my usual impact driver/greasy washer/sacrificial nut method. On the road for 4+ seasons now.
