Using the stock FFR front and rear brakes. Experiencing a lot of brake dust on the rear brakes. Are the front and rear pads different. Are there better pads. Is this normal.

Normally the front brakes are supposed to do most the stopping. Using like brake pads, I would expect more brake dust on the front.
Your situation might warrant an inspection of the brake drag on the rear. Check the emergency brake system too.
More information on your exact components and set up will help diagnosis.
Good luck,

Pads that don't make much dust tend to not stop as well and /or wear your rotors out faster.
I agree that more dust on the rear warrants an inspection.

If you remove the pads there is usually some data printed or stamped on the backing plate. Or on the edge of the wearable portion.

More dust on the rear is NOT an indication of a problem, just a different compound than the front. My rear rims always have more dust, as I run a more aggressive pad to get the right balanced braking
