Haven’t seen anyone else elude to this. For reference my body is set in back, dead nuts on. Pontoons are equal distance fore/aft to foot box. Body is loose on door sills right now. I fitted the drivers door and have an ok fit, lots of work to finalize, no hinges issues.

The passenger side hinge is not wanting to cooperate with the body. I’m hitting at the top portion of the hinge and at the point where the hinge opens, this is WITH already grinding down some of the hinge. Movement on the bracket really doesn’t help much. If I go lower with the hinge mount then I’m damn near at the bottom.

I don’t recall anyone every taking about these issues on the passenger side.

Pictures may be difficult to see, but the bottom picture shows the hinge not closing all the way because it hits at the top. Top picture shows the hinge hitting outermost portion of body when opening.

I trimmed the hinges to allow them to open further. I can post a picture of them tomorrow. I set my body per the manual and left a little bit of a gap at the front between the body and the vertical frame upright.

I had the same issue. I unmounted the body and moved it as far forward as possible and then ground the hinge where needed.

I was thinking about this last night. Went out this morning and took some measurements, it looks like the body on the Ps side can go forward about 1/4 in when measured to the rear wheels. This should help.

This puts my drivers gap near the front of the door to frame at about 1/4 to 3/8 and the ps at flush to the frame.

So ya, looks like I’ll move it forward and grand the hinges more.

Thanks.

Here are some photos of my hinges that I cut out.

That’s virtually identical to how I do them.

After moving the body forward about 3/8 on the passenger side and shaving the hinges I was able to get everything fitting nicely.

Thanks!
