752275237524 This is probably the one and only time that I will purchase a crate motor and trans. My only regret is the hole it left in my wallet. Mike Forte came through with this 302 340hp motor and MKO trans.

Bob-
(I assumed you name was Bob from the box in the pics)... You are off to a very sexy start!! I can imagine the hole in the wallet, but WOW, she is a sexy beast, and should provide plenty of motivation staring back at you from the corner of the garage during your build!! Good for you, and good luck!
Regards,
Steve

It sure looks beautiful. I'll bet you can't wait to install it and hear that first start. One word of caution - that gorgeous air cleaner will have to be modified so that it sits much further forward. Due to the placement of the motor in the chassis there will be interference between the rear of the air cleaner and the upper lip of the body at the firewall. Easily solveable though. Buy a new baseplate without a hole in it and cut the hole at the after end of the new baseplate and mount it (with a new hole through the top of the cast aluminum plate) on the carb. I just plugged the old hole with a SS allen head screw. Looks like it was always there.
I love the look of this air cleaner. I think I got the base plate from CJ Pony Parts. There is an old thread on the other forum describing this mod. Have fun.

Bill, I guess I called a motor too....Thank you for the heads up on the air cleaner. I will keep your info for the future modification.

Bill, you can't help that silly mistake, motor, engine, whatever. All you can think of now is your coming down the home stretch.
