Hello. I removed the hot rod steering plug. When I traced back the wires they go to a plug that connects to the dash harness. Can I remove that plug too?
Does it matter that there are two wires per pin?
Same question for the speed sensor wires (I have Vintage GPS gauges). They both go to a dash plug and have two wires per pin. Thank you!

There are two wires per pin by design and it's OK. Keep in mind, the Hot Rod connector is a group of second wires piggy backed onto existing circuits, e.g. turn signals, horn, etc. That's mostly what you're seeing. Sounds like you've removed the Hot Rod connector and traced the wires back to their origin. Just clip them off there. Don't remove the dash connector. The doubled wires for the speed sensor are to support installations where two connections are required. With your GPS Vintage gauges, you don't need them. All should be pretty obvious from the schematic in the Ron Francis wiring harness manual.

Thank you, Paul. That does make sense now that I look at the schematic. I was a little confused since the schematic doesn't show the two cable's per pin but now I understand how they drew it.
