Need to replace the TKX transmissions electronic speedo pulse drive with a mechanical one in order to turn a Smiths mechanical speedometer.
I had incorrectly assumed that the speedo take off was the same as the T5 but the TKX just has a magnetic pick up style pulser and no apparent way to drive a traditional speedo gear.
Anyone have any ideas? What am I missing??

I haven't built with a TKX. But several with the TKO. According to the documentation I can see on-line the TKX, just like the older TKO, has two speed sensors positions. The electronic one on the RH side, and provision for a mechanical sensor on the LH side. It's on the other side from what you removed with a bolt and cover over it. #4 in this screen shot from the TKX service manual. You'll need the mechanical sensor, gear, and clip.

Thanks Paul!
I guess I only did online searches and missed looking at the manual!
