Looks like I have a chassis interference question. On the test fit of my SB Ford, the Tensioner for the Accessory Serpentine drive is touching the diagonal brace at the passenger side front of the engine bay.

Does anyone have any ideas? Can I cut this and re-triangulate to another location on the chassis? I have a few feet of chrome molly, 1 inch tubing, so no worries there, just how to do it?

Here is the tensioner, the engine is raised 1 inch at the point of contact.

I had the same issue with a 347 in the hot rod. You don't need a tensioner, I discarded it no problem. From what I have gathered, that is the approach most take. That said, at least one builder has spaced the engine a little higher to get it to clear.

Same deal here with a SBC. I ditched my tensioner also. 199071

Judging by your picture, looks like you have the reverse rotation water pump, Mine is a Clockwise.

But I have a solution:

I can raise the engine 1 inch, or fabricate a gusset:

Always options. LOL

I have a sbc and absolutely no issues with the tensioner.

Looks like your accessories are adjustable. My A/C compressor and the alternator are fixed in place. The only adjustment is with the tensioner. I have decided to put a gusset in the corners just in front of the accessories. The one on the passenger side will be boxed. I can weld and don't have a problem with the fabrication. I do want to find a talented TIG welder to make the install pretty.
