Friends,

Apologies for posting this here but I've been trying to get info from Pro-M and I've been getting crickets back via phone and email for going on 10 days now. No info online and there's no installation manual.

I'm installing the usual Pro-M Mustang fuel pump hanger and Walbro GSS340 fuel pump.

Two questions:

1) Does anyone know if and how the rubber grommet in the attached pic should be installed? It looks fitted to go on the pump intake somehow, but does it go inside the hanger, outside the hanger, flange facing pre-filter, flange facing the pump? And there's a probably 1/8" hole in the corner one of the squared-off edges. Do I need to do anything with that?

2) The included hose has two divets as you can see in the picture. Internally the hose looks fine but I want to make sure this isn't some manufacturing defect I need to worry about. Last thing I want is to install an in-tank pump and later find out that it's a bad hose that needs replacing.

Thanks everyone. Novice questions I know, and I appreciate your wisdom. I'd rather ask the dumb question now than find out later that I really should have asked that dumb question... :)

I put the rubber grommet at the bottom of the pump, between the pump and hanger. I don't recall putting any thought into which side was 'up', so to speak. The divets in that hose look fine to me, as long as the hose looks fine and there's no restriction.

Hello the grommet is used to isolate the pump shell from the hanger at the bottom of the pump. You may also need to bend the hanger plates away from the pump shell to reduce transient noise from the pump.

I'm pretty familiar with this as I am an Engineer for TI Automotive (Former Walbro).

Don't mean to hijack the thread but have a problem I can't solve and maybe you can help me out. What would cause the fuel pump relay to run hot to the touch?
