I reached the point where I'm ready to install the seat belts and I wanted to add a trim ring to the shoulder belts. I've seen several offered but they all required mounting hardware on the face of the trim ring that either drilled into the 3/4" tube or on the ends which puts the screw or nut close to the trunk wall. I came up with my own design that uses a tab on the back of the trim ring that mounts to the 3/4" tube and there's no visible hardware. What do you think? Of course I need to install them before I install the body but I was planning to do that anyway.

They start out as 1.25 X 1 X 4 aluminum. These are from the first and second ops.

Here I've added the slot and drilled the tab with a counter bore for a rivet.

Very nice but the trim ring right next to it has screws. The screws never bothered me. It was how cars were built in the 60s

I was thinking the same thing, Mike.
if you looking to sell these, there's a guy on the FB builder page who has EVERYTHING on his car billet aluminum. He might be your first customer.
