I posted a few weeks ago that the engine was finally in 7074 and promised some pictures - here they are. I've been on vacation for the past week and was able to work on quite a few of the little details I'd planned on my search for a more "vintage" feel, including the oil catchcan, early '60s big-block Ford degas tank, early Ford alternator, Breeze hood hinge kit, under-dash tubing for mechanical runs, etc... Here are a few photos of my progress. If anyone wants more pictures or explanations, let me know and I'll be happy to provide more info.

Overall view of the engine bay:

Oil catch can - from Cobra Restorers - will be connected to vented breathers on valve covers and to an overflow tank to capture any accumulation:

Ford degas tank:

Ford 55 amp tear-drop alternator with home-made brackets (banana bracket is modified version from a '73 351 cleveland:

Underdash tubes - drivers side will have speedo cable running through it and passenger side will have wiring for gas sender, taillights, and trunk light:

Looks very nice.. question, where does the dizzy go? will it fit between degass tank and carb?

johngeorge - I'm using an early Ford dual point distributor (no vacuum advance mechanism and a small housing) that will fit perfectly between the turkey pan and the degas tank. Here's a better picture of the available space - you can see the blue tape covering the distributor hole. By the way - the bolts on the degas tank bracket are just temporary so that I could check fitment.
