I know a lot of folks use some foam in between the cockpit and the engine bay along side the body, I was checking out some other forums and found that the SuperDuty trucks have a pretty stout insulation in the front fenders
I wonder if this would be a feasible solution for the Cobra? maybe go to a pick-n-pull on some newer models and get it for pretty cheap?

I think Kleiner recommends AC unit foam strips. probably less expensive and dirty than going through a junkyard looking for insulation.

Why reinvent the wheel? The AC foam works, is readily available, is easy to work with and is inexpensive. Those are all hallmarks of the cars I build…but hey, if you want to go another direction let us know how it works out! :)

thanks guys - figured it may be a 'free' option since some of the superduty guys are pulling this stuff and throwing it away because they think it blocks airflow to cool the engine bay (much different vehicle for sure)
the A/C foam is the route I'm going but figured I'd offer up a potential adder

one question, is 1 package enough? (2) 2.25 x 2.25 x 42" - right?

Ask Ken Pike..... I think I bought two packages and he put it in for me just before he mounted the body. He'll do yours too.
