Hey Y'all,
I have the FFR 18" Halibrand replica wheels on my build. FFR provided the wheel spacing specs below, but I'm not sure how to shop for a spare wheel/tire based on this (that also fits in the back of the car).
Does anyone know a brand of car that has a wheel that fits these that I could just order off of tirerack.com? Or, any other ideas are appreciated. Also, include flat tire stories so that I'm motivated to get this purchased and in there - haha.
Thanks,
Craig

Technical Specifications:
Front Wheel Size (Diameter x width): 18"x 9"
Rear Wheel Size (Diameter x width): 18"x 11"
Front Wheel Backspace: 6.00" (24mm Offset)
Rear Wheel Backspace: 6.46" (12mm Offset)
Wheel Lug Pattern: Ford style 5 lug x 4.5" bolt circle

An 18" OEM Mustang take off rim from 2015 and later should fit.

I have 18" wheels on my Mustang restomod. The spare from a 2017 Mustang GT is what I am using. Actually, for a spare, the all black spoke wheel looks decent. Not your typical steel rimmed spare, but an alloy wheel.

My spare fits in the storage area. Hasn't been out of the case and hope it stays that way. But something to consider IMO. This is the one I have ($65 on Amazon) but plenty of other choices. Worst case roadside assistance/tow truck was a cheap add to my insurance.

Thanks Everyone. I think I'm going to make an effort to have the spare with me all the time - at least when driving outside the city. Hopefully I never have to have it towed for ANY reason. This car is so low I image it's pretty easy to damage.
I'm going to look for the appropriate mustang wheel for my spare. Appreciate the help!

Agree a standard tow truck is asking for damage on these cars. That's way you would always specify a flatbed/roll-on type. The towing company will typically give you a little grief and say you may have to wait longer (ask me how I know...) but the chances of any damage are very low. You'll need to do your homework if you really want to carry an actual spare. Including a jack that will lift the car with little/no clearance once the tire goes flat.

You’re going to have something else go wrong before a flat happens. Carry a tire plug and portable inflator if you’re that worried.
