Started work on panel. Here are the components of the panel in addition to standard panel guauges.

Switches:

Ignition
Horn
Wipers
Engine Fan Override
Turn Signal
Hazard
Dimmer
Headlight

Lights:

Lft Turn
High Beam
Rt Turn
Oil Pressure
Alt Warning

Here are pics of layout at my vantage point with me sitting in the DS seat (I'm 6'2")

Thoughts? Suggestions? Trying to "measure twice, cut once" on this one.

Here is my layout. Notice the line on the right side, that area is where I can touch while fully buckled in. Looks like you have some items way too far to the right.

Here's my layout... I'm also 6'2". One thing you should do is ensure your seat is at the final level (decide what/if you're putting anything under it ie. Breeze seat base) then put your steering wheel on the shaft, just not permanently. Ensure you can see your gauges from your seat height. Another piece to note, is make sure there is room on the back of your dash for your mounting solution. Sometimes gauges get in the way....
Also D Stand has a good point, make sure you can reach all your necessary switches once you're strapped in with your shoulder harnesses.

A couple of thoughts. Dead center ahead of you swap the alt and oil lights for the t/s indicator lights. Alt and oil are lot more important than t/s if they happen to come on. I 'think' you are going to operate the turn signal w/ a switch way over to the right correct? If so, I suggest move that switch to the left of the steering wheel. Get a long handle toggle and/or an extension.

You can mount it so it moves left/right or rotate it so it moves up/down like most TS stalks in modern cars. You can just see mine here w/ the large silver bezel.

I always put the turn signal switch to the left of the steering wheel. It seems more natural and intuitive since that's what we're used to in our daily drivers. I usually put the high beam toggle a little farther left past the TS switch also. Here's a photo of one that shows them; the toggle with the gray boot is TS and the one farther outboard is hi-low. Not necessary but I also always incorporate a fan indicator light that is on whenever the fan is energized, either by the thermo switch or manually. It's the amber lamp above the fan manual switch in the photo.

Thank you all for feedback!!

Jeff, can you tell me how far apart your toggle switches to the right are?

I got the precut panel and the switch holes were already 2.5" apart. I kept that spacing for my other switches. But yours look closer and still very functional (not too close). Spacing mine 1.25" apart would tight things up a bit, but I also don't want them too close to interfere with one another. Thoughts?

Sorry, I used that photo because the switches to the left are visible but that was a build that I did for a customer about 10 years ago. The car is in Arizona so I can’t easily measure for you! :D
