half shaft cv assembly

In need for help!!

I'm trying to put the half shafts/cv's together, there are 2 small bags with retainer clips in total 8 clips, 4 small and 4 big ones.
Can someone explain how to proceed, do I take the cv apart and mount them on the half shaft ??
