Hello Everyone,

It's that time in the life of my Type-65 Coupe that I desire to have a removable steering wheel and thus install the NRG Steering Thin Quick Release (SRK-400CF) that I have.
So, I'm looking for the ALIGNMENT DRILLING JIG that's been designed, fabricated and offered to and available to Forum members for some time now.

Much appreciative.

Please PM me.

Bob

Reach out to Namrups - he had a cad file so that you could use a 3D printer to make your own. I Don't have a 3D printer, but a buddy did and was able to print one for me. I'm betting that you either have one, or will likely know someone who does.

I only used the hub side for mine, as I went with a different steering wheel that already had the correct bolt pattern. I'll try to look around the shop today and see if I still have that side.

Once you have it installed, you'll kick yourself for not doing it sooner - makes exiting the car a TON easier!

Hey guys.
I also have the NRG hub. If I could get on the list to borrow it in the future, it would be greatly appreciated.
I kinda gave up when I saw the different bolt pattern.
Thanks,

Hey Scott E - let me know when you are due to have this gadget. I think I may go this route as well!

Let me spell this out again....

I have the STL files to 3D print these jigs (there are 2). I will gladly email them to anyone who has a 3d printer of their own or access to one. Send me a private message with your email address and I will forward. This forum does not allow STL files to be shared hence the email route.

For those that do not have access to a 3d printer, I can print up the jigs and mail them to you. Just private message me your mailing address. I do not charge for the jigs or the postage. All I ask, is that when you can, to pay it forward for the next guy.

Namrups (Scott) you are the man! I see post after post where you help and that is so awesome! However, at the very least, builders can throw you a bone of $20buxs? I think that would be a start! I mean come on, he’s not in the business of printing and giving away. Again, your helpful attitude is one to be surely commended and duplicated by everyone! But printing costs buxs! To mail stuff cost buxs! Help Scott out and spend some money already. Gas isn’t cheap anymore, help fill his tank!

Now with that said… You do not need those jigs! Get a mechanical pencil a steady hand and a keen eye. I didn’t use the jigs. Hell, make your own with pvc pipe sections and some tape? Anyway, just looking out for you! Keep being cool. Your build is great and I’m glad you’re in final stretch of paint and then just drive the hell out of it! Thanks Scott for being a great contributor to the forum!

Thanks for your support Doug! I really appreciate it. I do this because of all of the help I received from the builders in this forum. The amount of time and money others have saved me clearly covers the cost of these jigs.

During and after these builds there is always parts left over. Offering them up by paying it forward will only help others and help to grow our community. Just doing my part.
