Woohoo! Congrats, Luey2011. Exciting times. Your build area is immaculate. Looks like a great space for this build. Thanks for starting a build thread.

Always a good day when Stewart Transportation shows up.
Enjoy, what are your choices for engine, trans, and rear suspension?

Congrats Luey - Great day indeed! Awesome you've held onto the roadster. I think once mine is done I won't ever part with it (but doesn't every car guy say this about every car?)...Will be following.

Quick Question, How Do I download pictures so that they are full size instead of thumbnails?

A suggestion, host your pictures on IMGUR. I have a build thread on the vintage mustang forum. I have been using IMGUR for 6 years now without the site going pay only and high jacking your pics. You can select the size of the pictures posted and you don't have the file size limitations we typically have. IMGUR is free and I trust it is going to stay that way.

I liked the 3-link in my MK4 built over 10 years ago. I am seriously thinking about starting a coupe build the end of this year. My plan is similar but will go with the late model Mustang IRS together with a 363 and the TKX. I have never built up a short block before but I will this time. I will likely get a 363 short block from Ford Strokers add aluminum heads of my choosing and top it off with stack injection. The money saved going with a short block over a fully built long block will go a long way to paying for the stacks.

Hello. got the manual rack installed. got it centered 2.5 turns lock to lock. then noticed the drivers side inner tie rod end was out longer by about a half inch, so I marked the center of the steering rack aluminum housing and rotated the steering shaft a half inch over to the pass side. now I have 23 7/8 from the center of the rack housing to the end of the inner tie rods on both sides.
does this sound correct to you guys?

I am interested in your comment about the two different designs possibly being different on the street. I believe the coupe is a MK4 stretched 5 inches plus other changes to configure it for the coupe body. But as far as the suspension goes, pretty much identical except the wheelbase. I have decided on going with the 2015 Mustang IRS, now the IRS should produce a different driving feel without a doubt. I would bet if you drove a roadster and couple back to back that were otherwise configured the same, under most conditions you would not be able to tell them apart. The roadster will be more nimble with a better turn in going into tighter corners. Outward vision will be very different with the roadster being for like a fighter yet with a full canopy. I do get staying with the 3-link as the IRS is an expensive upgrade. This will be my 2nd and, likely last Factory Five as in not so many years, I will likely age out from building complete cars.

I haven’t posted anything in a long time. But the car is almost done with paint so here are a few teasers.
