Hey Gang,

I haven't done a video in several years so I know I'm way was over due.
The new wheels are 17X9 for the front and 18X10 for the rear.
Tire sizes are 255/40-17 and 295/35-18.
They are Nitto NT-05's.

what did you have for tires before? I'm interested, because you noted that these made a big difference. I'm wondering if that's because they're new or if you have totally different mfr/model?

Thanks! (I'm going to get new tires very soon, too... Currently running NT01s)

Al,

I was running Nitto 555's (245 Front & 285 Rear) prior to purchasing the NT-05's.
As I understand it the NT-01's are much softer (100-TW) than the NT-05's (200-TW).
Since the 555's are a much harder compound I really think your car would shred them.
Also, my car is only making 465-HP (6000 RPM) and 465-TQ (5200 RPM) at the fly wheel.
Regarding the 555's in the rain, I had the same tires on my old C4 (Several Sets) and were fine.

The beloved C4 was sold in 2019:

Hope this helps.

We took the Roadster out tonight to get a quick dinner and attended a local Hot Rod Cruise.
The clips below are very short so don't expect much

Olive Garden was Olive Garden, but it is the only place to eat near this venue.
If you are still wrenching, riveting, sanding and painting know that your efforts will be well worth it.

Geez GoDadGo, it's just like a motorcycle -- everyone wants to pull out in front of you!?

I guess this won't require too much adjustment for me ;)

I like how you gave that one guy in the pick-up an audio attitude adjustment :D

Reminds me of a story I heard about when I lived near Seattle. A Cobra owner was putting along on the 405 between Renton and Bellevue when he kept getting taunted by some ne're-do-wells. He simply slipped the clutch in 4th gear, dropped the hammer, smoked the tires, and went back to putting along...not to be bothered again!

Craig,

I didn't expect the first truck to have that much pep, but the challenge was made so I had to oblige and return the favor.
That pop of the throttle before I shifted to 3rd was to give the car a chance to settle and straighten out.
Peak Torque for the roadster is 465 @ 5,200 RPM so 4,500-5,500 RPM is when it shines.
Peak Horse Power is 465 @ 6,000 RPM which is where I've got the limiter set.

Thanks For The Post!

Steve
