I am drilling my carbon fiber dash and have not yet got in my hands on the trim ring from Mike I was going to use for the steering wheel. I want to drill appropriate sized hole, would the FFR directions to drill "2" 1.5 inch holes at the designated marks in template give me the correct hole size? The template is off by .75 inches or so, but I will square it up with the steering shaft before I drill.
Thanks for the input!

Before you drill, make sure you have the dash in the correct spot. Are you using a turn signal modification from Russ Thompson (RIP) or one of the other guys? The template is often off if you have adjusted the steering column. I have a CF dash and almost messed it up and I know a couple who have. Start with a smaller hole as the CF is very easy to drum sand it larger. Remember, the dash needs to be all the up on the hoop in the center.
Good luck.

Thanks, no turn signals, dash is mounted and you are correct, the template was off.

The insert measures 1.4 wide by 2.27 long oval.
What is your name so I can look up your order?

What I did was marked my dash with the template and I only drilled one 1.5" hole using the lower mark, and it's almost centered on my steering column.
