Is there a specific term I should be using when looking for a replacement switch for the FFR provided wiper toggle switch? Would a DPDT switch enable the same functions, high, low, off/park (On, Off, On)? I'm looking at a few different ones at DigiKey, but I'm not a switch or electrical expert. I like the idea of a locking toggle switch, where you have to deliberately pull it out and move it either up or down. Spent too much time in the military and I like the confident the snapping into place gives me when actuating these type of toggle switches. Here are a few I like but need to know if the DPDT will work with the existing wiring...

For wipers, you ideally want a switch that has the park function. If you're using the FFR-provided "Lucas-like" switches on the rest of your dash and want something that matches, the Lucas wiper switch P/N is 35927.

A regular toggle switch will not work, the system will not park. You can get a Lucas toggle Wiper Switch here: Period Correct, LLC (https://prdcrrct.com/product/wiper-switch-toggle/)

With the addition of a normally closed relay to take care of the park feature, I am confident this can be made to work with a commonly available double pole, 3 position (on/off/on) switch.
Let me know if you would like me to draw it up and send.

Cheers,

Nigel

Period Correct sells a relay for the wipers. I used it with a rotary switch for the wipers that I purchased from them.

Hi Bryan,

Try wiring it per attached sketch.
You will need:
- DPDT switch with centre off position (on-off-on)
- 12volt 5 pin (change over) relay.

The addition of the relay gives a 12 volt signal to the park wire whenever the switch is in the center off position.

Hope that makes sense. Don't hesitate to reach out if you need any more help.
Caveat: I haven't actually wired this up and tried it.

Cheers,

Nigel

Nigel, thanks for the drawing. With this set up in is it just the park function that uses power through the relay and high and low power to the motor comes from the right side of the DPDT. Also, does the off/park position send a constant 12v to the motor when the switch is in the off position? I am trying to figure a way to have two billet switches, 1 is power for wiper or park and 2 for either high or low.
