Broken steering rack mount

Brand new power steering rack. This is how it came out of the box. The PS mount was loose in the bag.

I'm sure glad the mount fell off in shipping. It would have broken off while on the road otherwise.

It might be a good idea to check the welding on your power steering rack, especially if you just received your kit like me.

J-B Weld would have looked and done better than that one. The electrician's assistant's intern must have done it. Or the 3rd assistant to the company 2nd Vice President maybe.

Yet another instance where the “quality” part of the quality control statement is missing. Seems to be much more prevalent these days.
