For those using Fortes’s mechanical throttle on a Sniper, does it matter where you connect the rod to the throttle plate on the unit? I had the old cable mounted through the top hole, but there are 2 additional holes on the bottom of the plate. Does it make a difference?
Thanks

Ok. Got that figured out…….almost done install but have 1 more question. I’m using the Russ Thompson pedal. Do you tighten the rod ends on the pedal so it is fixed once you get the rod angle or do you leave it so it can pivot when you press the pedal.

On the Sniper, I recommend adding an extension to the linkage to avoid the on/off throttle response.

I will be installing the Fortes linkage on my sniper set up. Do you know if the lever extension is still required when using the linkage system?

Thanks,
Geoff

The extension is intended to improve the rotational arc of the standard linkage. I can't imagine it really matters if you are pulling that linkage with a cable or a rod. Increasing the radius will smooth out the response.
