After researching many options for the front drive I'm really liking the look and price of Mikes kit for the 302. I want to run it with the fox pwr steering pump but Mikes kit is not built for it and the only bracket he has for the Fox pump is polished. If I can find someone local to sand blast and power coat the pwr steering bracket I think I'll pull the trigger but would love to hear from anyone out there using this setup already. Another option would be to purchase a black steering pump bracket from another vendor....anyone happen to know whats needed to line up with Mikes kit....the pully on the water pump looks like the ford pulley but I may be wrong.

This bracket is available from March, and comes in black...but will it line up?

I ditched the fox pwr steering pump.. During AutoX I would overload it and loose any ability to steer.

That looks very nice!! What pump are you running? If I didnt already have the lines from Breeze I would be copying your setup for sure.

Those are the lines from Breeze. That pump is also from Forte. I'll look it up tomorrow and reply with #.

Mike's kit for the alternator is really nice. We used it on a Blueprint engine we installed a few years ago. The Blueprint stuff positioned the alternator too high to work with the surge tank we had. We used it with a stock style Ford bracket and Fox pump from Blueprint.

You know, most powder-coating shops have their own blasting cabinets? They like to make sure the parts are clean before they coat......... at least the good ones do.

Good to know Frank! Keep on with those build videos, we certainly enjoy them! I speak for the carb crowd...we are out here waiting for someone to bring you a carbureted pushrod to finish!

Jim's white Mk4 had an FE427 and stacks. Go into the way back machine on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLDlFwXKm54ofcpUeZgtaxFAvdVOsue5Cd

There was 1 fitting on the pump that needed to be swapped to match the fittings from Breeze.

WOW John42 - we never had that problem. Most folks I know with the fox PS pump actually put in a pressure reduction valve - one of them did autocross events. My boys and I perhaps did over 3 dozen autocrosses in the day and never had an issue. I was often FTD so clearly not taking Sunday strolls.

I have a Forte 302 with power steering. Are you buying the Breeze Power Steering hose because the FF5 supplied hoses don’t fit or Breeze hoses are better quality?

I purchased from Mark as his were complete out of the box for the fox pump and look OEM....in Marks words "The special 150 degree elbows at the rack send the hoses directly to the pump for the shortest and cleanest possible setup"

I will say the lines the came with my kit look great as well, not sure what they fit as I stuffed them back in the box.

My original hoses were dried and cracking (from 2006) so it was time to replace so I got the Breeze set.
