The manual shows using button head bolts to mount the steering arm, but none were shipped. I was shipped standard 1/2" bolts along with some 1/2" 12 Point bolts with the same threads.
The manual doesn't specify which parts to use, so I am asking for some direction / help before I put the spindles on & torque them down.

They no longer use the button head. They are standard bolts with a flange lock nut. the 12-point bolts are to mount the caliper.

Kevin, be sure you get the arms on the correct side.

On behalf of all of us who screwed this part up—I can’t stress enough how important this is to get right the first time!

Thanks for these posts guys, I just started my build and I'm running into the same questions. It would help if FF updated their manual, it doesnt mention the bolts nor a clear way to mount the arm. I understand from reading posts the arms dogleg out and the larger side of the tie rod hole is on the bottom side. Is this correct? OMG I would hate to put these on wrong and have to take everything apart later. Thank you!!

Correct. "Up and Out", so to speak. The outer tie rods insert from below.
