I have a 2018 33 kit with a Coyote.
Car runs great but I have never gotten the fuel gauge calibrated properly.
I have the Autometer gauges. 16-158 ohm range
It shows full when full but then goes to 1/2 tank quickly, sometimes empty, then half again, i don't know.
I even added a autometer fuel bridge to manually calibrate it and add a low fuel warning light but that didn't work either, still erratic.
I've checked my grounds, all connections soldered.
When I test it I get 142.6 ohms full and 16.7 ohms empty.
I've included a pic of a similar sending unit I found online.
Problem is I have body on and don't want to take it off, but I have not done body work yet so one option is to cut an access hole on rear deck to relace sending unit and then repair it during body work.

On a side note when I am below 1/2 tank and take a hard right turn the engine will hickup for fuel, has anyone experienced this?

Any help is appreciated! Thank you.195017

Dan,
That sending unit looks like the one FFR sent me when I got their newer tank, the one that has the filler cap inside the trunk.
I don’t have any problems with the engine cutting out however when the fuel gauge gets almost to E I’m out of gas.
I’ll look into that Autometer fuel bridge.
You shouldn’t need to completely remove the body, remove all of the mounting bolts, pick up the back end about 2 feet and support it.
That should give you enough clearance to get the sender out.
If your fuel gauge is jumping around that much either the sending unit is bad or you have a bad connection somewhere, could even be a bad fuel gauge too.

Just found the pic of what I’m using.

Dan, sent a PM. Had a few questions regarding the sending unit pictured in your post.
