Any rule of thumb on these? I've seen some videos that say tighten until it bottoms out on the o-ring and then others say tighten until there's friction, then another 1/4 turn. I have some 90 degree swivels on the tank that I can only get a wrench on as they are so close together, so can't really 'feel' the friction. LOL

I always set my ORB torque wrench to 1/2 an uggadugga... After all, you're just energizing the o-ring and minimizing the extrusion gap.

In all seriousness, the specs in this website make sense (note aluminum vs. ferrous): https://www.jiayuanfitting.com/info/sae-orb-port-fittings-tightening-torque-spec-s-44343168.html

Also reference the actual thread size per AN size:

Thanks. So 10-12 Nm for a 6AN fitting into aluminum. Not sure if I can get a crows foot in there. I am a weirdo when it comes to knowing exact torque values.

~8 pounds pulled perpendicular to a 12" wrench. If less/more than 12", scale inversely proportional.

Edit - It appears it's 31-37 nm based on the 9/16-18 thread.

Thanks Bruce. Changed the elbows to straight fittings then I'll go to a swivel. Should be much easier and then go with the hand tighten until it seats and then quarter turn.
