I wasn't confused by that. It was the cost that I don't get. I see racing/track TPMS systems for around $300, so why is this one almost $7,000?

It was built by Multimatic these are the guys that built every single $500k ford GTs and are now building the mustang GTD. You are paying for the name of who built it and that is it. Ignore rational thought.

Actually the race trucks these days are using an "on the move" Starlink system that allows almost real time monitoring of multiple in truck video feeds, two way telemetry, etc. Subscription and hardware for this runs about $20k a year. I don't guess this vehicle has that option on it or they would have listed it, but my point is that once you get into way out in the desert racing stuff it gets pretty expensive pretty quickly. As I have related in other threads, I have a friend that runs a Trophy Truck in Baja races and that truck cost him near $1M. His pre runner cost him over $250k. Definitely some name $$ here, but I don't dought that they COULD have spent that much on this vehicle.
