So, I got my Whitby kit installed today. But, I still need to handle the plumbing. I’ve got the brass 3/8” barbs and Y I need for the fluid supply side on order. But, I HATE the plastic barbs on the Whitby supplied master cylinder:

Question 1: They’re not threaded on the MC side, and just push into a grommet. Does anyone out there have a link, or at least an item description I can search for, to get metal replacements for these plastic barbs?

Also, I’m having some issue with the business end of the MC. Since I’m running the 2008 Cobra ABS, my front and rear lines need to be 1/4”, but I can’t find an appropriate adapter for the 10mm thread on the MC. The kit comes with 10mm bubble to 3/8 inverted adapters. I have a couple 3/8 to 7/16 adapters, and some 7/16 nuts for 1/4 tube. But that’s three components stacked and will look awful. I’ve spent the last hour trying to find an appropriate 10mm bubble to 7/16 (or 12mm) inverted flare for 1/4” tube. This one is killing me—I’m usually pretty good at finding things.

Question 2: does this fitting exist (10mm bubble male to 7/16 or 12mm inverted) for 1/4” tube? If so, any leads on where I can get them?

those plastic barbs are very strong and will last a lifetime. They are original equipment on Mercury Villager minivans. Also, they cannot be seen once the car is built. I use them all the time.
As for you fitting, I couldn't find one either. Wonder if you can just run 3/16 line instead of 1/4. My Guese is they don't make that combination because the 10MM is too small to take advantage of the 1/4 inch line anyways.

Thank you. I went ahead and installed the lines on the plastic barbs, and see now that they will not be visible.

As for the hard line connections, I just happened to have a couple of 3/8-7/16 flare adapters. So, I’m going to stack those up and hope nothing leaks when I pressurize the system.

Nice! Had I known about the Lodestone pieces, I absolutely would have used them. Now that I’ve fully bled the system, I’m less inclined to break it open. Though, I guess I could pull the reservoir and elevate it to top-bleed any newly induce air into the top of the MC. I’ll have to think about it.

Also, I know you had issue with the Whitby pedal—i just posted my fix to that on my build thread.
