MK4 Roadster. Looking for some input regarding the expanded foam supplied by FF intended to attach to the top of and run down the side of the footboxes to restrict airflow/heat from the headers to the cockpit. It seems supplied foam wouldn't be tall enough to close the gap. Is the intent just to make the gap a little smaller or to close it for effect? Maybe adding additional foam after the body is on at the area of it's largest gap is the answer?? This part of the journey is coming closer if I need to order additional foam now would be the time.
Thanks for your comments..

Per Jeff Kleiner, I used some AC weatherseal from local big box retailer.

Attached with 3M adhesive around the side of the footboxes. Compresses rather easily so as to not distort the body. He has threads showing positioning on the other forum (sorry if not supposed to post here)

I think I just bought and used some of this:

https://www.amazon.com/M-D-Building-Products-2006-Weather-Strip/dp/B000CSGELY/ref=dp_fod_sccl_1/134-7647703-4142961?pd_rd_w=XULf9&content-id=amzn1.sym.06cf7ec8-2776-432f-a25d-c34b09167e8c&pf_rd_p=06cf7ec8-2776-432f-a25d-c34b09167e8c&pf_rd_r=END79N8717YQPTH63R2K&pd_rd_wg=kE8YR&pd_rd_r=3dd43c8a-7d77-46ae-8393-6498424eb502&pd_rd_i=B000CSGELY&th=1

You can get it in several different sizes.

I got some of the above recommended foam from HD. After the body was put on for the last time, and before the front splash panels and vent trims went on, I crammed lots of foam in those areas on both sides (from the front). I have no air leaks from those areas.

Probably you understand the product provided by Factory Five is intended to expand after the package is opened and it's stuck in place. So you only use it once, e.g. the final time you're putting the body onto the chassis. My experience with it has been mixed. Sometimes it expands and completely fills the gap. Other times doesn't expand enough. A couple builds ago, I purchased a similar product from McMaster and it expanded quickly and fully (had to hurry with the body installation actually...) and turned out well. But to be honest, my go-to method has been the AC weatherseal from your local hardware or big box store already mentioned. You want that gap filled 100%. Any air leakage from there, or anywhere else for that matter, will feel like the heater is on. Sometimes desirable when it's cold out. But generally not.

I also used the AC weather seal mentioned above. I glued it in with 3M Super 77 prior to final body install. I installed two layers of it side by side to make sure I had a 100% seal between the body and the chassis. It compresses very easily so there was no issue installing the body after the weather seal was glued in place. More details in my build thread here (https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?31167-Greek-Guys-Garage-Roadster-Build-9509-(Nice-shoutout-on-Insta-about-my-build)&p=512645&viewfull=1#post512645).

Thanks again for the input/experience. I cut some of the FF supplied off the roll to see how it expanded as a test but I like the AC weatherseal idea, off to HD tomorrow.. again..
