Looking for some help on this. I have the passenger side floor in (temporarily) and trying to fit the e brake handle assembly, but no matter how I move it, it rubs the aluminum and it sure looks like there won't be room for insulation and carpet.

Thanks

John

When people have trouble with the new handle they usually have one of the mounting brackets in the wrong place. The front bracket is shown upside down in the manual.

Here are some pictures of how the front "L" bracket should be mounted.

Brian,

Thats excatly what I came up with. I ended up flipping that front L to the inside late last night, seemed to push the handle out enough to clear, although the nuts on the handle are still rubbing the aluminum, will probably need to open that up some to clear.

Thanks

John

Did you try to point the bolts toward the passenger so the heads are facing the aluminum? That should give you some more room.

I thought about that, but wondered if that will cause the nut and bolt end to wear the boot.
