I am purchasing components for my fuel system and was looking at the appropriate fuel injection hose. Has anyone used Earl's Vapor Guard hose? If you have, are you happy with it? Is it very flexible? It looks pretty easy to assemble the fittings and hose.

In the latest episode of Roadkill Garage, Freiberger uses Vapor Guard hose to install a Holley Sniper fuel injection system. It appeared to be pretty flexible, and as you say, easy to assemble the fittings.

I have used it on my engine for my efi. It has the same flexibility as rubber hose and the fittings are really easy to use. After 2 years of it being installed, no fuel smell in the garage.

My engine is carbureted but used this stuff to replace some other hose I had that was sweating because of the ethanol in the fuel. Switched to vapor guard and all smells disapeared. All and all good stuff.

Forgive me for sounding like a newb. I thought that there are laws requiring hard line for fuel...as in no more than "X" inches for flexible line at the tank and carb?

No laws. The rules you are speaking of is a lot of tracks require it for racing.

I like that show too! Lots of good info. Seems to me that someone on this forum mentioned fuel hose with a teflon liner to use with alcohol laden fuels. I have no idea of what it is called, but I’m going to look for some of that. If I can’t find it, I’ll use the Earl’s vapor guard hose.

I have a handful of unused fittings for these. PM please if interested. Thanks!

Funny - I have the exact opposite reaction. I'm sure he's a very knowledgeable guy, but the half-a$$ed &^$% they do on that show is such a turn-off that it detracts from his credibility in my mind. I can't even watch that show. I have to change the channel whenever it comes on.

Understood :)

I take the show for what it's worth -- entertainment 1st and knowledge second

That show reminds me of the way we did things in High School. "Figure out a way to make it work."
