I have fitted the rear body section and noticed that the front of the pontoons does not follow the bodyline from the bottom of the door opening forward.
With the hood fitted and inner guard splash panel fitted, I still can't get the pontoon down to match the door line. Is this a common issue?

I just searched for the same problem. You and I are right on schedule with each other. I only have the issue on passenger side. Driver side seems OK. I posted the question on facebook and Jeff Kleiner says they are all like this and recommended getting over it and just trimming the hood to match the pontoon line. Only you and I will notice it on the final car. That being said, I have seen videos of the Make a wish Daytona coupe body work… they encountered same issue and cut a horizontal slice out of that pontoon to straighten it. But that involves fiberglass repair to fix the cut.
